I loved this poem... really did love it! The usage of the line: "There is the one who is action, and one a refraction." is brilliant. This is so true. I can appreciate the way you showed us instead of telling us. It was really great! Well done. Respectfully, January L.

This is a very interesting and well written poem you have penned for the Mirror Mirror writing prompt. You used very good words and very good imagery from the art work you chose. Blessings, Teri

Whenever I look into a mirror, sometimes I see a wondrous and smart woman. Other times, I see a pathetic loser. Both visions play tricks on me because I can't be overconfident and I cannot have low self esteem. The mirror is funny isn't it? And the one in the mirror is the only one who can fix both visions.
Great, introspective poem.

A very well-written poem about whatever see in the mirror about ourselves we often forget when we turn away from the mirror or we have a different memory of what we have seen.

Hello Mystery Writer!
Perceptive and refreshing. Reminds me of the sociology Charles Horton Cooley and his "Looking Glass Theory." When one looks in a mirror, one sees three people:
1. The actual person
2. The person we hope to see
3. The person we believe others see...
Keep shining!
Best Wishes!

On mirror reflection is refraction, there is the one who is action, you ask the question whose visage you can dim, only you better know; well said, well done.

It's like, who am I? Well, I'm ready to take action, but what about what will others think of me if I do? The light will shine on me, and they will see the faults I tried to hide.
Which one of me will win?
You're the writer, I don't know.
Excellent entry for the mirror contest.

Your poem captured my heart because self image is so important.
Sometimes mine is dimmed.
Someone once told me we should see Jesus when we see others and ourselves. Not a difficult thing to do if we look hard enough.
Thank you so much for such a stirring poem.
Best wishes,
Cindy
