I love the ideas presented here because they are so do-able if people will listen and act. Today is part of our eternity, as a resurrection each morning. Well done and enjoyed because it made me think and because I agree with this concept. Your thoughts are so profoundly interesting that I did not notice the rhyme and would like this poem whether it rhymed or not. My two favorite stanzas...because I like when others tell me what lines of mine spoke to them...
A vile virus - Humanity Has developed insanity....Amen!
It's what we do, not what we say Eternal life is in TODAY....yes:)

Governments have been trying to reverse the affects of environmental mismanagement, (although they're frightened of being over draconian) although greed and decadence are nothing new, it's what destroyed every single empire through history. But legislation will never change the hearts of men, only conscience will do that. A reversal of direction, but universal? I think not. Merry Christmas, blessings Roy

Governments have been trying to reverse the affects of environmental mismanagement, (although they're frightened of being over draconian) although greed and decadence are nothing new, it's what destroyed every single empire through history. Excellent poem my friend and a couple of suggestions I have is to add imagery that ties the words and the presentation together and maybe change the background color to a warmer toned color! The words flowed nicely throughout the piece and didn't seem forced;-) Great job!

Very well written poem; like the last stanza. Whatever we do or say counts for our eternal life today. Prayer does help a person find their way but also does God's word and guidance.

Excellent work here - a longer poem that keeps its continuity...however verse six throws the reader off stride with its last two lines that do not rhyme. An easy fix or not as you choose. For me, eternal life lies in heaven, but we absolutely should strive to NOW better!

A good message; should be read and followed by more but so many are after their own devices, mainly that almighty dollar.
While the US is trying to reduce emissions, we are allowing China to destroy our air at many times the rate of the rest of the world.
The Brazil rain forest is disappearing at an alarming rate, so many oxygen generating trees, gone forever.
Wonder if we'll wake up before it's too late?
