You've portrayed such a darkand heartless villainess in this Lisa character. I feel so sorry for your friend that she sacrificed herself for this granddaughter only to be heartbroken.

But now you have to fodder for future villainous characters in your stories.

This paragraph made me laugh and reflect how backward we are in a funeral situation: '
Obviously, she had to have told them something. Plenty-something. Every one of those three stodgie stooges, her crone-y old cronies from Hag-Town or witch-ever city spawned them, who'd never even met me, though they knew her quite well. Squatter numero uno was she, at the Obesity-Barn, AKA the Triple-X- Plus Pen, the only pathetic place that would hire any of those fat cows". Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

You have promoted the righteous action, your conscience is clear, there is no harsh speaking ill of the dead, when relation goes and turns to an untoward extent; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

I loved this
I've been frozen-out and stared-down -- my cup runneth thrice over with glare-ice - What a line!
'Tuesday, January 31, 10:14pm; First Take: She drops: five feet horizontal at my two.
Friday, February 3, 12:36pm; Final Take: She drops: five feet horizontal under six.
It's a wrap'
Well, that's one way of looking at it.
This was very funny, love the 'faux ho-ho' and the fabulous images you give of the old biddies at the funeral and the Grandma.
Very well done.

You again! Thanks for another welcome visit; the bonus gift is surely appreciated--even more so your thoughtful response. So glad you liked this; I was hesitant to release this because the character is so unremittingly unpleasant that I thought it would be off-putting. I am thus especially gratified by your enthusiasm. Cheers. LIZ

This is sad. You've certainly painted a word picture of someone who hated her grandmother and yet felt she deserved something simply because she was the granddaughter. I hate to hear this inspired by a real person you were friends with. Nicely done.

Thanks Beth. I was hesitant to release this because the character is so unremittingly unpleasant that I thought it would be off-putting. I appreciate your bearing with it regardless. I wrote this shortly after my friend died and shared it only with another friend who knew about these ugly circumstances. Ironically--or not--Lisa was an absolute sweetheart to me! Cheers. LIZ

Dear LIZ,
Great writing and an excellent treatise on this Age of Entitlement - of something for nothing. Boy oh Boy! You do live a life on the edge though. Hope your family aren't like this one.

This is a sad commentary on an ungrateful, yet greedy, granddaughter. The world is full of such people, but they are loved and bequeathed anyway. Well done!
