Rain hail or shine most folks will find something to complain about, I like your idea of picking one to be happy with (good luck), though I must agree the severe wet does seem to do more damage, and it does make it very hard for us to stay dry, an excellent poem as it flows (not with water Ha! Ha!) but with ease, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

You use some very original rhymes in this poem, such as "warm" and "norm." I enjoyed reading it. It reminded me of the two years long ago when I lived in Portland, Oregon, where it can rain buckets.

Rain, rain go away! We have snow, but I can relate. I am so ready to welcome warmer, dryer weather. I can relate to the weather people crying drought as well. It does seem to happen every year.

Yes! Go far away - LOL! It is just 'the Southern Winter'.... but we truly are way ahead in our rainfall totals this year compared to the recent past... ;) And, as they say, perception is reality and I perceive a heckuvalot of rain!! :) :) :) Thanx for stopping in on this one, Debi, and have a great weekend!! ;) Yvette

Very well done and zi must agree the rains come with no let up causing floods them the rain has gone away and the weather comes on sand spoils things by saying we're in the drought season once again!

I envy the ability of a person who's perfected perfect rhyming! I love the rhythm. Your poem is as light and airy as the Spring. We get 5 months of cloudy weather here up North, that's our "norm." Good luck in the contest.
