well, that's a horror story, all right.
I'd like to tell you what I thought you were going to do. At the beginning, through the mother's remark about James, that she thought something was wrong about him, I thought her daughter would wonder about her mother's feeling and figure it out. Maybe she would overhear something, or find out something about his lover, and turn the tables on him.
I wouldn't think you'd want the scumbag boyfriend and his horrible lover winning.
It is a terrible, horrific way to die and you left the reader with that picture in mind. I just hate to see the bad guys win.
This is just my opinion. I love smart gals who turn the tables on jerk guys. Of course, there are poor girls who fall for bad guys everyday.
And this is the sad story of one such girl.
