I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 Movie Review writing prompt.
This short story describes the movie, The Joker, very well.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

Thank you very much for the exceptional review and the six stars :)

That's a very poetic description of the Joker that you have articulated in this piece that his innocence is just fading into small cries as his insanity and madness begin their wicked rise. Great job with this piece.

I do dig where you were going with this thought, having my own twist on its presentation if found appropriate, trading had hateful for the usage of innocence. Not even big revelation but a thought set in my stated opinion.

This is a scary looking clown. It matches the poem well because it looks like the clown is crying. It is also a bit sad for the loss of innocence.
Good luck. Keep writing.

The joker is a scary character, unpredictable and sort of a loose cannon waiting to explode, and you warmed to his sensitive side here, although he is utterly mad and you can never reason with someone who is bonkers, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

What an amazing 5-7-5 poem. You have captured the character of the Joker perfectly. I haven't seen the movie but I remember the Joker from Batman and Robin.
"Innocence whimpers" That screams volumes about abuse.
I hope you win!

Comment from Gloria ....
Author by the sounds of your description this looks to be a good film. Joaquin Phoenix is such an accomplished actor with a wide-emotional range I think the investment of time would be worth it.
You have captured a dark and sinister aspect with your presentation and fivesevenfive that shows darkness overwhelming innocence.
Excellent post and best of luck to you in the voting booth.

Very interested this 5-1-5 about this controversial movie. I think the character was very well acted by Mr. Phoenix, he deserved an Oscar for portraying so well this man with a twisted mind. You have written an excellent analysis.

I really liked your poem. The language you used is powerful and really fits in well with the topic. I saw the movie back when it was released in cinemas, and it was very good and memorable!
