Beautiful thought about God gathering tears in His hands. This is an excellent way of noting that He knows and cares about our pain. We can find comfort in the memories we have of loved ones and special people whom we've lost. That's an optimistic thought--that those memories can life in our hearts. I see you're having the same problem I've been experiencing. I notice that in your third stanza, only the words "I los" show up on my computer. I contacted Tom about my problem, but couldn't make much sense of the answer. My manuscript looks fine in the Edit mode, but part of it is missing in View It. Have others noticed that part of your line is missing? You have a sad mission to inform us of the deaths of our great FS members and assemble a book, but you do it with so much grace. judi

This is a very nice tribute to a Fanstory community member that has passed away. It's nice you were able to enjoy her work and she was helpful in her reviews of your work.

So very true - the idea of a book of remembrance for Phyllis is a good one. Hope others, who knew her, will contribute. This is an honest poem - full of emotion - and trust in God. I like it very much.

Dear Robyn,
What a delightful and illuminating piece of writing. I am not greatly religious myself, but I love and admire folk who wear their "God on their sleeve". Great form of metre and rhyme. A good one , kid.
Regards
Reg

Excellent tribute to Phyllis. I know you two were veeeeeeery close and had that extra something that two people who understand each other have. I can imagine how difficult Phyllis's absence will be for you, but know she would absolutely love what you have done and want you to carry on doing it.

A most sensitive tribute, Robyn.

This is a touching poem with eternal friends who have been lost to death's process in mind as the theme, and how the Lord will answer the speaker who says, "whose peace I pursue...and cling to Him tightly till joy reappears." I like the idea that friends still 'dance' in the speaker's mind, as it makes the world beyond this one sound much more fun than one expects. Nice half rhyme of 'mind' and 'shine,' too. Thanks for posting!

Your poem about loss of those that matter is well-written, moving,
and very spiritual. It is at such times we most need to trust in the Lord
for strength.

Hi Robyn. This is very nicely written. This is the stanza I find to be the most true in grieving:
"I lose folks I love and my heart breaks in two.
The daylight turns dark and the moon isn't clear.
I turn to my Lord, whose peace I pursue...
and cling to Him tightly till joy reappears."

What a beautiful poem, Robyn, and so good that you were able to connect it to others in the book, thus emphasising the sense of community and fellowship.
