I have not read het stories and didn't know her...although my best friend's name is also...Phyllis Stewart !I
She sounds like a gem if a person and its my loss not knowing her. Every one needs a Phyllis in their life!

I found myself totally involved in some of Phyllis' writings too. She was certainly a talented writer. I didn't know her well as I haven't been here very long but I always appreciated her reviews.

Phyllis was a great author. I can't believe she's gone. We used to email each other often sometimes just to express our boredom and receive some cheering up. I miss her terribly. She was the reason I stayed on FanStory when I wanted to leave the site several times.

I loved that story too, and it's not the sort of thing I usually read. All her stories had be hooked from the beginning. I'm going to miss her a lot. Her penguins were so funny, and her reviews were useful and honest. She was always willing to help. She's the one who found the correct spelling of 'trebuchet' for me when I couldn't find it in any of my dictionaries. I feel like I've lost a good friend.

Regretfully, I know nothing about her outside of the very nice tribute you just paid to her. I fully intend to exercise due diligence in finding out more about her and her work. I think that it is a fine thing to pay homage to someone who has made an indelible mark on us and our chosen path in the arts. Especially one who has taken the time to mentor us and tried to show us the way.

Turns out , I did have an opportunity to read and review some of her work. I can't believe that I did not recognize her name. She was indeed gifted with a unique voice. A tragic loss.
