What a beautifully written final chapter to this little saga. I'm so glad everything turned out for the best for the couple. You know me, one of them would read minds or fight demons for their love. Best of luck with your writing!
Happy Holidays and God bless.

-Very nice image for the finale, Sally.
-The beginning section is very good
as Kristin and Will discuss the venue.
-She expresses her feelings about a more
simple wedding, and they reach a good compromise.
-Effective description of the phone call, decorations
at the hospital, and Capt. Lewis in his uniform.
-What a lovely thing for them, being married
by him. It was a very touching and believable ceremony.
-The ending to that section is done very well, too,
with the second wedding in an open field.
-A perfect ending to the story with the love
note and scene with this loving family.
-You did a great job with the whole project,
and should be very proud of it.
-Have a wonderful New Year!

Dear Pam, thank you so much. I was so glad to see your name and lovely review. Somehow I had the thought I wouldn't see you until the new year. I'm blessed by your kind words and shower of stars. You're a gift to me!
Sending you my best today as always and a Happy New Year!!

You are very welcome and deserving, Sally. I think you are referring to one week when I was not going to post a poem, and then Yvette make her contest, and I entered it. I have only done two short poems since before Christmas, though.
Best wishes for you, and Happy New Year!

A very enjoyable and tender love story, I especially like your opening paragraphs. They were so true and the ways life can change for us in a flash. Your characters were wonderful with a great ending.

This has been consistent from the beginning to the last paragraph. Your characters have remained true to their role all of the way too. I like how you show a change of time so smoothly. Everything paces so naturally. You have kept the reader in wonder the whole time and the waiting for all involved and the reader was well worth it. Very well managed and written

Congratulations on telling this ideal love story, Sally! It shows Will picked his beloved bride well as she was willing to go ahead with a surprise first wedding in the hospital!
I wasn't ready for the hospital wedding and I did understand this sentence because I didn't know her mother was there.
" Her mother's eyes were the dead giveaway."
I was wondering where those eyes were - on a photo? But I think you meant she saw her mother was there and understood that a last minute ceremony was taking place.

Thank you for the excellent review of my ending chapter. I'm so glad you enjoyed all these and the ending chapter. Yes, her mother and family were there. "Come with me, my girl. Your sister and I have something for you to change into." Sending you my best today as always and blessings for Christmas,
Sal xo

Hello Sally. It has a great ending for Will and Kristin. It is sad that the Captain was not around five years later but it doesn't change the love story. Every happy story has some tragedy and that makes it a good story. You have accomplished that. Z

What a splendid ending to this beautiful love story! From the wise opening quotation through the unanticipated early wedding performed by Captain Lewis, plus the planned ceremony and reception on Christmas Eve Eve three weeks later, to Kristin's fifth anniversary Love Letter of recollections to Will, and how happily aware Isabelle is of her parents love story, this final episode is deeply heartwarming. Clearly, this is a marriage meant to be and meant to last.
Superb, aptly illustrated, and nicely accompanied by the chosen videos.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and kindest compliments, Mike. I'm glad you enjoyed all these love letters and especially the ending. Jackson wanted me to correct myself to say, he cried four times reading this and kept having to set it aside. Sending you my best today as always, and blessings for your holiday celebrations,
Sally :))

You are most welcome, Sal. You were right to focus on all the personal loving details and the small wedding rather than the larger public one, plus the fifth anniversary showing how well the marriage worked out.
Jackson well understands the treasure he has had for so long, and cherishes all that you are and how you are blossoming in your new writing career. His tears were a combination of joy and gratitude for his many blessings with you as his life partner, and he knows that this story was inspired by your time together. May you both continue to overcome all obstacles and share many more decades in each other's loving embrace. -- Mike
