Hi Tony. The pace is heating up now and I wonder how you're going to extricate them all from this new predicament.
But I have to admit I'm a tiny bit disappointed. I couldn't find anything that needs editing! Well done and it's a great read.

Thanks very much for the sixth star, Judy. I'm beginning to wonder how I'm going to extricate them, too. Yours is the kind of disappointment I can live with! LOL

I was relived to read Charles wouldn't be hiding in the back of a car! Mind you I am sure you have some other challenges awaiting him. So many twists and turns.

-This is quite a chapter, Tony.
-It begins quite differently than
it ends, to say the least.
-As you switch the scene, a plan is formed,
as Bisto wants Kayla with him in
case there are any problems.
-You include a bit more levity with Kayla's code,
as it certainly doesn't seem like a secure one!
-Ash is on the phone, and it is good to
learn he knows where Helen is, but that
is as far as the good news gets!
-The news is grim except that they
recovered Charles's backpack.
-You leave us with Charles's questions, and
wondering what is going to happen to Helen.
-I can't even begin to imagine how she is coping.
-I think this is an episode for CSI!
-We, the readers, will wait for better news!

Very many thanks for the sixth star, Pam. There seem to be more questions than answers in these chapters at the moment! All good wishes, Tony

You are quite welcome and deserving, Tony. I guess you better get to work on those answers:) Have a great Christmas and very good New Year. Will you be visiting Anna and the family?

The plot is really starting to hot up now. Kayla's phone goes off while Charles is in the shopping centre wailting them to take care of business and come back and pick him up. But it was Ash, telling them he'd received a photo of Helen, with a knife being held against her throat by Abdul Jaleel, wanting a couple million for her return, well done, Tony, great scribing, blessings, Roy

Ah, so I'm beginning to see this coming around full circle. They now know where Helen is, albeit a serious threat to her life is looming. And the elusive Madame Durand is surfacing yet again. Always there when the going gets rough. Hmm! Great new chapter, Tony. Merry Christmas to you and your family! All best. Ulla:))

"I'd scarcely arrived when I heard a dog barking at my heels. I looked around to see where it was, then realised it was her ringtone."
I love the tension breaking amusement of this little episode, especially when contrasted with what comes next.
The story line is coming together nicely as the pace picks up. Excellent description of the effect of Ash's shocking news on Charles. Looking forward eagerly to the next chapter.

More mysteries, and not getting any answers at the moment. Hmm, I laughed at the Karma Sutra reference, lol, I wouldn't even mention that to my hubby! At least Charles might get Helen back, but how, is the big question? I had to smile at Charles almost bent double in the boot of the car. Poor man, that's going to hurt no matter how short a time he's in there. I do enjoy this story, Tony, it has everything a mystery needs, and also some wonderful humour. Well done, my friend, I look foreward to the next part. :)) Sandra xx

I related to his shock, I gasped at the news about Helen. I can only imagine what's going on in the poor guy's mind. The horrible scenes, his worry, fear. Your chapter is well-written, very interesting. Your dialogue seems natural and your characters really come to life, of course. I love the bits of humor, quarreling you put in. It made your chapter more realistic. Kayla sure knows how to push buttons, lol.

Hi, Misty. Thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. Those two Culverson sisters are quite something, aren't they? They certainly keep poor Charles on his toes.
I hope you have a very happy Christmas. All good wishes, Tony.

This is a very exciting and intriguing story. You develop your characters richly, and the responses to things are very accurate human responses.Since I was not here at the beginning, I read your entire character listing, which really helps a lot when someone is coming in late. You wrote the story very well, leaving us in suspense, which I assume is the whole idea! Great job
