I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Author. You did a great job with the prompt. I really like the added bonus of rhyme. Your words flow smoothly with great detailed imagery about life. Your notes are interesting and so true about life. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

Your poem has a very nice flow to it. I related to the "Marrying, birthing , leaving a legacy part! I have eight children, lots of grandchildren, and three great grandchildren! Great contest entry!

I agree that no two people will have the same answer to the meaning of life. You do capture the essence well in your verse. There is much to do in this life, and giving it meaning is important.

Rhythmic and rhymed so well. A poem of that ponderous question, what is life - what is its meaning. Not the brightest scholars nor the richest man can give us an answer. Life is a journey and we the travellers - what more than that is there?

Hi There,
thank heavens we all can answer this question in our own way and do not have a list to adhere too. I think many of us would fail to fulfill that list.
I guess enjoying the life we have been given without persecution of others for choosing different options. Is there a real answer?

What if there is no meaning of life and the object is simply to get from cradle to grave. Your poem raises some good thought. It rhymes, makes sense, and promotes higher level thinking. Good luck in the contest.

Your philosophy penned here so eloquently is close to my own. I believe we only have one go at it and should give it our best. I draw my source of strength from God to do these things and in the joy of Him.
Sending you my best today as always and my very best wishes for you in the contest,
Sally Law :)

Sally, we are truly kindred souls I love this fact you share, as I do as well, "I draw my source of strength from God to do these things and in the joy of Him."

These are chilling words and life is so short and we strive on our journey when we see plenty of life ahead and tend to slow down and see the flowers when we see our own mortality, poignant words here, love Dolly x

This ten lined poem is well structured throughout its perfectly flowing rhymes and well selected verbage of its narrative storylined content.I have really appreciated the poem. A great job.
