I just read an essence poem heartbreaking in its beauty. This is just as effective in its incredible sadness, from the heartwrenching title, Helpless and Hopeless, to the image of the addict, so incredibly young, alone and homeless, to the poem of the hopeless words, lie, die, cry

Thank you so much for your generous review. The helplessness of being the mother of an addict is more than anyone can bear.

If you look at addiction as a form of mental as well as physical addiction, then I can relate. My daughter had Borderline Personality Disorder, which is exceedingly difficult to overcome.

Yes, I see it as both, and it is rampant in my family. I have great empathy for your struggles ~ been there.
