You've hit on an essential biblical truth, that suffering leads directly to hope: suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope. (Romans 5:1-5). Your hope in God for yourself and those you love is well founded.

Thank you for reading,
I talk to God a lot - I know he hears me. I have experienced the answers. What I am trying to find are those pockets of rest until my time comes.

I think this is a darn good entry and letter to God. God is a compassionate one, He always listens to those seek Him out. For God to actually listen we actually have to believe the God, and He rewards those who seek Him, 1Peter 5:7 "Cast all your racer upon Him, because He cares for you. Well done, excellent entry, good luck, blessings, Roy

Thank you for reading,
I always seem to be praying for others and not myself. It felt peaceful to imagine such a chat. It clarified to me that I do need to find pockets of rest. From my experience with God, it will not be at all what I might expect.

Well done

I think we all want peace for ourselves and our families and for suffering to stay away from our door, these are our wishes and it is funny that we never yearn for wealth because we know that all the things you mention here mean so much more. The temptations in life can indeed thwart our happiness, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thank you for reading,
If I could have a long vacation from life- I can not think of anything more I would like.
This is not realistic, so I am learning to find pockets of rest and praying that God will give them to me. It?s always so interesting with God- whatever he brings is never something I would expect.

would say to God. Everyone seems so careful

Thank you for reading.
When it came down to thinking what I would like God to give to me- I thought all I wanted was a respite and a deep rest.
I do think God wants to teach us to find those pockets of peace no matter what is happening.

A good and intriguing opening paragraph. a great and deep and rather sad, as someone with mentail illness I understand how you feel at least a little. it is amazing how you still belief in god.

Thank you for reading,
I would not be able to survive mental illness without God.
I have found joy in knowing that God understands what I am going through. I feel seen and never marginalized.

Someone else mentioned forgetting to include themselves. I do remember to include myself as I figure I need all of the help I can get. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

Thank you for reading.
Definitely not my best work, but definitely what I needed to tell myself. So a plus for me.
