The story is developing nicely, Cindy. Aaron is committed to the dragons now. As more leave their eggs and as they grow, his problems will increase.
You have established a framework for rebellion against the king. I'm eager to see how the plot will unfold. And what mischief Red will get up to.

Yes, Aaron's life is about to get interesting.

This is a good continuation of your story, Cindy. I enjoyed reading it. The intensity of the suspense of what's next is building fast. I like the water dragon and the one that sits in Aaron's lap. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan,

There is still the joy of the dragons hatching and continuing to grow, but this story is revealing a deeper, dark side that I wasn't expecting at the beginning. I think this weekend I will have to go back and read the whole thing in one sitting, to try and work out when that all seeped in.

There's more eggs to hatch. I was afraid this didn't have a story and was just becoming an inventory of dragons, so I've been working on the plot a little more.

Excellent, as usual. Things are tightening up for Aaron and the witch is right... he needs to concentrate on what he CAN do. He's an interesting hero, as he's not out to save the world, but just this nest of eggs.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
Typo below.
, bit it would work
, but it would work

Thanks. I'll get in that typo right away.

The dragons are growing up, learning to do things for themselves. I have a feeling Aaron will be heartbroken when they have to go. Glad the red dragon has finally settled down the mischievious thing. The chapter is well-written interesting, believable. I look forward to reading more.

Thanks. I think there's plenty of trouble in the red dragon. I had to figure out how to get her out of that jug. She couldn't do too much in there.

You, as the author, fade into the background. There is nothing here to distract the reader from the story. That is just as it should be.
Just one small grammatical point:
None were (was) ready to hatch.

This is a most delightful story. I'm so glad he let the little dragon sleep with him. He's safer sleeping out there with Demon who can alert him if anyone comes.
I have no idea where this story is headed, but I'm along for the ride.
-The impact [of] what he'd just said hit him.

This is a great story of the dragons and their friend there with them to look out for them and trying to keep his horse from being eaten by the king.

Thanks. The plan is to keep it suitable for younger readers. They do not look up words or struggle with difficult prose.
