Alie, if you're stunk in Orlando Florida... go to the beach, fish, don't go to the pool. :) Glad to hear you're still traveling, even if it's for your husband's daughter's graduation. Make do with where you're at and have fun. Don't let the family bring you down. Smile woman. :)

Alas Jose, we are in Georgia and stuck with the fishing pond. Where ever we go we make the best of it and enjoy where ever we are.

This is an interesting piece. The narrative is conversational, and provides an easy read {smiles}.
Here are a few points you might like to consider:
We were off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of oz... darn, wrong adventure -- If this was mine, I think I'd capitalize "Darn",
Now I do have to back track a little -- Spag? In this case, "backtrack" is a single word?
first there are the snow birds, you know those people who travel south during the winter months to avoid the snow -- I like this snippet. I've never before heard of people like this referred to as "snow birds". It's very descriptive {smiles}.
I'm looking forward to reading your subsequent post(s) {smiles}.

Ahhhaaaaa, it is obvious you are not from Canada, anyone there and also the upper states refer to snow birds. I will make those changes in a moment. Thanks Alex for reviewing.

You are correct, I'm not from Canada {winks}.
