Well this one brought tears brimming! Such love is immeasurable...as love should be, I think! We can't always define the beginning but w can be comforted in the undeniable truth that it doesn't end!--Karenina

Such true words, Karenina... I am so glad this resonated with you. I was online reading Russian poets (Pushkin is becoming one of my faves). I read the verse I used in the photo and was mesmerized ~ just had to share. My verse was a foil to show that there is no end to lasting love.

-Very nice artwork
with the poem included.
-I like your response to it, too.
-You haven't given up, and
your love hasn't died-
you are "simply waiting."
-I think I would probably
wait a little, too!
-Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written one-line poem about the love for someone very special that will never or fade in our hearts no matter how long we have to wait. We keep hoping even when it seems hopeless.

You would have thought that when push kin to shove he would have written one of his own sonnets, would n't you? This is a clever little piece into the bargain.

Shunned? Quite possibly a chump? Loser? Forgotten? A one-way love affair? Waste of time? Yet, we were in love once. I will never forget her. I will be waiting, even when I'm an old man. Love never dies. Her embers will always remember.
Been there, Melissa. Know the feeling well.
cheers

Pushkin's poem is so sweet, heartfelt. You can feel the undeniable love, the regret of losing his true love. Your poem is a great followup, conclusion to his poem. It's well-written, nicely put. Very nicely done.

Melissa,
Both you and Pushkin write with meaning. Yours was much more succinct. There is always hope in any relationship.
Nice overall presentation.

You did a great job, Melissa, with your poem response to the letter. Your words read smoothly for this one line poem. You give readers a sense of hope after the narrator realizes that there still is that concept. Love doesn't just disappear forever. Things change, but there is always hope to rekindle love. Thanks for sharing. Jan
