How can we ever be sure? I love the way you have woven a great question into this wonderful poem. I gave up trying to know anything, years ago. A useless endeavor. Great job!
Have a great day and God bless.

"slippery rain of chance" to "music of romance" I love these sayings as they blend into this wonderful read, as yes the winds of fate do play a large part, very well done****kahpot

A compelling and thought-provoking piece of writing, Vance. What is our life, if bereft of meaning? And how easy it is for that meaning to be misunderstood and misconstrued.

Hello, Vance -- so good to hear from you! ;) Really enjoyed this one, sir, although, I must admit, it was a bit tough to follow your intended rhythm/rhyme in its current formatting.... :( Perhaps try a bit 'shorter/coordinated' lines as below (your words only -- just a suggestion):
we truly ride upon the Meaning and intention: by; HIS GRAYNESS
Meaning and intention
blossoms in the garden of goodwill
as the strength of promise, wrestles with
the constant winds of maybe strong or still,
ETC.....
Thank you for sharing! ;) :)

A very well-written poem about the things we say may not be clear and understand by others as we intended our words to be we must always ensure the words we speak is well understand by everyone.

Be impeccable in your word, this is good advice, and as long as we can be clearly understood, we then take the consequences of the meaning of our words, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Your words flow pretty well and you handle the long phrases with aplomb. My only suggestion is to bring in more personal experience. This piece feels in the head and I'd love to feel your heart.

And once again I'm out of 6's when I don't want to be. This one strikes a particular chord with me. Hello, by the way... And this is the exact reason that I am NOT a person who hangs out on social media commenting on this and that. I can't even say two words to some of my family members without being misunderstood and getting yelled at for something I never said in the first place. I gave it up quite a while ago. Now, I've recently been accused of 'cutting myself off from my family because I'm not on social media.' This came from an out-of-state cousin in reference to my sister and her family who live in the same town I do, and it isn't that big. Can you guess why I'm off social media? LOL
When it comes to speaking, I'm one of the most easily misunderstood people I know. Go figure! LOL My tone doesn't get any better with print I guess. Oh well. I am what I am, as Popeye said.

Your poetry and words always send me into reflection, Vance. Your mind and soul still so active and vivid. In the midst of trial, I see God giving me strength and depth I never knew I had and see He has done the same for you. Thank you for this lovely offering.
Sending you my best today as always,

I agree Vance. It's always about the intent, that despite the words we speak, or write, and what we actually deliver becomes the heart action in the final analysis. Beautifully written friend Vance, thank you for always being kind to me, and I'm certain to others, most of us fall short of who we should be, but not you my friend, beautifully written, blessings, Roy
