You have completed a poem in a few words. I like how it is written. It is interesting. Well written! No grammatical errors. Thanks for sharing! Excellent work!

Just lovely, Yvonne, so magical and beautiful! I would give you all my sixes for this, and gladly had I got any. I just lovel fairies, and magical, mystical poems, and yours fills all my likes and all the dots on top. You certainly have no problems writing a Villanelle, this one is perfect and the repeating line fits in so smoothly, you hardly notice it is one. Well done, my friend, I would just love to watch the fairies dance! :)) Sandra xx

This poem gives a strong image of the fairies dancing in a forest glade on a moonlit night as the artwork shows. I think the fairies knew you were there and put you in the trance so you had to watch.
Keep writing

Your picture must have been the inspiration for this poem, Yvonne. I think you did a marvelous job with your imagination and the repeat lines of the poem. Of course the fairies did their little dance for the Human who was mesmerized and fortunate enough to find them there. Well done! Nancy:)

Someone pointed out they probably knew I was there all along. Thank you for this great review.

Good job for this form. And a nice art image goes with it. The thing about villanelles is that somehow there's no place to put in happenings. It's more just a repeat of lines. You did that well, but I wanted to know if at any point, the fairies noticed you.

A very well-written Vilanelle aboutique the magical woodland rite and the mystical dance of the fairies on the very eerie still night, in the bright moonlight with the still wind.

wow this villanelle is perfectly done and makes total sense using the repeated lines. The rhyme and flow are very good and I guess I too would be frozen in place with the sight.

My foreign forms class seems to be reawakening interest in these things. You have integrated the repeating lines well within you short tale of coming across the fairies dancing in the wood.
I was interested that while the vision inspired the human to this poetic exploit the fairies gave the human not a second thought.

I know from my own attempts that a successful Villanelle is a lot of hard work! The perfect repeating lines are so essential! This is a thing of six star beauty!--Karenina
