Craig, This is a very interesting and well written story you have penned. This must be about you and Jane which is very nicely told. You used great descriptive words and very nice imagery from the picture you used. blessings, Teri

Another case of soul mates or love at first site. I was lucky in that regard as well. Met my man in June and we were married in October. We were comfortable together and shared the same desires and were very attracted to each other. That first kiss said it all. LOL we lasted a life time, 56 years, together. Well done, Craig. Nancy:)

Great job with that, Nancy -- congratulations! My other half would probably point out that's several life sentences (she has a wicked sense of humour). I'm pretty certain I won't live long enough to break your record, but we can try. Thanks for the wonderful comments and rating :)

A very well-written true story about the first meeting at the beer garden that results into marriage and years later the same excitement of years ago keep the couple together. Nicely told story.

What a sweet story. I hope you are saving it for a special anniversary. That should get you some brownie points for sure.
I am curious about the word game that you played. I play words with friends. The chance of playing against someone nearby would be very slim. Sounds like your meeting was serendipitous for sure.
I hope that you win the contest and can take her out for a lovely dinner.

I have played words with friends and literati (Yahoo's version of Scrabble). This game was called Acrophobia, the objective being to make sentences from a random set of letters, using them as the first letter of each word. She was the only Australian I ever met playing the game, so serendipitous for sure.
Thanks for the lovely wishes and kind words.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, I enjoyed it. Good luck in the contest. Few of us should be so lucky to find someone to spend their lives with and stand the test of time. You are indeed a lucky man.

I always find it interesting how people meet and seeing how lives have progressed through that initial meeting. Very well told and no problems noted. Great entry

Oh, what a wonderfully romantic tale, told in terms not saccharine, as some romances are, but sweetly reminiscent of a developing love. I am so happy for your story, and enjoyed this immensely -- especially the wise arrangement your wife made before meeting you in person for the first time. (*smirk*)
Best of luck in the contest! (This should do well! It's flawlessly written, IMO.)

One word of advice. Don't let her read this. It's so nice to hear stories that have good endings. The practice of creating get-out clauses, you ducking out to buy cigarettes and her arranging for an urgent phone call to go back to work suggests you both may be lawyers.
A really nice write.

Alas, it seems we both missed our true vocation. I'm not worried about her reading. She has a sense of humour, which is just as well -- she certainly needs one. Thanks for the kind words. Craig
