Well done poem. and great art goes with it. "blistering" flame sounds hurtful - would you say "deftly brands my skin" - or another word that denotes pain perhaps?

I think it's the blonde hair and the math... don't know of any other excuse..LOL! ;) :) And dreams... they used to be imagination starters and more, but as of late? I don't remember a damn thing!! Wake up with adrenaline pumping sometimes and have no idea why.... frustrating, actually.... and I've got to get back to writing after this weekend (last graduation and family visiting... at least for a while on the latter) so that I can 'fantasize' again!! ;);) So glad you like... makes it all the more worthwhile! ;) ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

Well, here you go, making your 5-7-5 sound like a real poem, while my entry reads like copy for an ad in comparison. As I recall, I managed to work in the 3-syllable "rodentia" into my entry about my Guinea pig's fondness for shredded carrots, meanwhile, you are throwing around feathers alight with blistering flames. I hereby wave my white flag. ;-) Beautifully done!

This is a strikingly sexual image, which I mean as a compliment. The feathers appearing as flames (or vice versa) is startling but also enticing, and then it is brought together with a soft brand on skin. Nice work.
