Congratulations on winning the contest. Well composed and illustrated. Writing is a rewarding experience as poetry allows each reader to bring his/her own interpretation to it. Marilyn

I like this!
It's hard to say a lot in so few syllables, but you've done admirably.
I like the idea of seeing beyond the words. That is the very definition of poetry!

A very lovely 15 syllables poem flows really well short but straight to the point, the picture also works well with words, good luck for the poetry competition.

Yes, Anonymous Poet, they are indeed.
Poetry is an echo asking a shadow to dance.
It is language at its most distilled and most powerful.
Edgar Allan Poe once wrote: "If a poem hasn't ripped apart your soul you haven't experienced poetry."
Nice writing.
I wish you the best of luck in the prompt's outcome.

Hello Mystery Writer!
Excellent thoughts are conveyed in your well-crafted 5/7/5 poetic offering. The image of a "wondrous prism" is beautiful as we search to "see beyond the words" and search for meaning.
Thank you!
