Sounds like a romantic first meeting. Wonder why he is "shadowed by a ringing phone." Was he constant interrupted by phone calls? Nicely done with the tanka suite!

It's a woman daydreaming about romance in a tanka-styled poem. So there's hope for a future gentleman in her life. The phone ringing was like a wake-up call.
