-A very interesting image.
-I like your note and your dribble.
-The first paragraph sets the
scene well; the person is
desperate for a job.
-I like the description
in the second paragraph
that shows the person is bitter-
soured on life!
-The ending is priceless.
-Good luck in the contest.

That's a funny story. Great job for your entry in the contest! It's tough working with only fifty words. Have a great day! maybe I'm up to 150 now

Hahahaha. You're right; only fifty words is a HUGE challenge (especially for me, since, as you can see by my replies each time, brevity is NOT my strong suit!!)
Thanks for the generous rating. It's very encouraging, indeed. xo

Oh, this has me puckered up. How clever you are and I wish you the best in the competition. I have not yet deciphered for myself this dribbly fruit thing--but now shall have to because I found this hilarious. The artwork is a sour piece indeed...
Very good work.

Oh, you're killing me here, Wolf Poet Sherry!! Such juicy word choices.
Thanks for the chuckle and also for that nice high rating. I appreciate both very much, indeed! xo
PS Thanks for mentioning the artwork. I was a little on the fence about it, so I appreciate the positive feedback there.

It was perfect!!

Ha! You got me at the end. Good job! I was wondering as I read through your story, what does this have to do with fruit? I love a good story that dupes me in the end. Good luck in the contest!

Hi Mystery Author,
Ha ha ha - good one! This is a great contest entry - best of luck in the voting booths.
A very creative take on the fruity contest. And very nicely written. Nothing here to suggest that you improve upon.
The image you've selected aptly depicts what happens to us - any of us - when we are stuck in a job that we are very unhappy with.
Thanks for sharing and for the chuckle.

Jan - I am so happy that you commented on the picture. I was a little reticent about it, so thank you for giving me that nod.
I appreciate your high score and your wishes for luck in the voting booths!

This is funny! I'm just getting my head around it.
Lemon-testing to what end?
My guess is you're being pranked.
Terrific entry. Best of luck.

Would a bad batch of lemons taste sweet, I wonder?!
Thanks for your high score and for your words of encouragement with the contest!

A bad batch of lemons would taste like a bad batch of lemons. I doubt 'sweet' would enter into it.
-
lol. You're too practical for my own good, Lee!
