This is a very beautifully illustrated and well worded Valentine poem you have penned for the contest. I love your words and the picture you used went well with your words. Looked so sweet and maybe thinking of getting a Valentine. Best wishes in the contest. love, Teri

Hi, Debbie,
This is a sweet entry for the Valentine Poem contest. Love in all its forms will bring out the very best in us. I think the love for my children is much bigger than I ever imagined - along with the love I have for my husband after all these years.
Love is what gets me up in the morning.
Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest,
~patty~

Well done, Debbie, only this lovely verse. I enjoyed reading the lighthearted and meaningful entry for the Valentine Poem. Your acrostic format and the love that is presented through your words have been a delight to read. Well done and good luck.

Hi Debbie,
I love that picture :) It has a romance feel to it which makes it a perfect choice for the Valentine theme.
I'm not so sure I get your poem, though. Maybe my mind is wandering this morning? I think you need to put more romance stuff in there. I always try to overdo the obvious so readers don't miss my point. If that makes any sense?
Is your character composing a love letter for her Valentine?
You have a great idea here.

Thanks, Joy. I can always count on your honesty. I need to look back at the prompt. It's a Valentines Day acrostic. That's all that I remember. I don't think that it has to be a valentine. I meant it to just be a commentary on love. I do need to make that clear. The title is the lead in. That may be very confusing. I will certainly be checking in to this.

Sweet, sweet, sweet! Fantastic pairing of picture and poem, and I love "Impish sensibilities seize control, objections slight". This is a great entry for the contest. I hope it fares well.
Hugs,
Connie

What a delightfully lovely write, MQ -- absolutely love the stark simplicity of it! :) ;) That love is simply having that other around us -- gives us a glow inside and out. :) :) And I absolutely love your title -- there are so many formalist poets that are more than likely gonna tell you that the title has to be what the words spell out, but I think it better to use the title set a 'mood' and let the obviously-spelled-out word complete it. Beautiful!! :) ;) Well-written and well-presented -- thank you for sharing! :) ;) Good look in the contest, B'ham Lady!! :) :) Yvette

Thank you, thank you, Yvette. It's another one of those love poem things that we have trouble writing. By the way, congratulations on winning with your chess piece love poem. It was definitely a prize winner for sure.
Couple of reviewers don't understand this one. I may have to leave it alone. Tired of editing it.
Hope you are doing well tonight. I am about to read your next chapter. I can't wait to start figuring it out.

What is there NOT to understand...? I'm standing here with my brows furrowed...I don't get how you can not get the simplicity there...?? S'kay, just 'brush it off' and keep walking, MQ -- it's just what you gotta do sometimes. There are a few authors that don't 'get' my writing style or even what I'm writing about in my book but I just 'smile and nod' and keep going....you do the same! :) :) And if you need to vent -- P.M. me or send me a real email -- always happy to listen! :) :) You take care and keep on smilin' ma'am! :) ;) Yvette

Debbie,
Yeah? Well, what would you say if I throw a flag on all of that? I happen to know that you don't have time for any of that romantic stuff at the moment and you aren't fooling anyone. Well... maybe you are. But not me. hahaha
Thanks - and good luck!

Thanks for making me smile, Robyn. You are right. I don't have time for much at all. By the way, how is your mother? Hope she is doing better than you thought she was.
-
Yeah, she's fine. Just offers frequent surprises.

I'm glad.
