What I like about this chapter Barb
is how Susan Anderson's mother is trying to
convince Shana to me a very good reason that she should marry Anderson, when she was talking to Shana said
"If you're worried because you're not in the same economic class as we are, we're not at all concerned about that. No, you're not interested in Drew's money. That's obvious. Anybody who thinks differently is crazy."

Another fine contiuation of your tale as usual it is very well penned.. I actually found the discussion about the bet with the differnce between Batting avereage and slugging percentage to be one of the thing that makes your work so beliveable I kow it is a small point but they can make all the difference.

People who marry for money are usually are not any better off. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words making for a very good read. There is very good imagery.

So glad the SIXES are still around. I loved this chapter even in spite of or because of... the drama...I loved all the personal stuff and getting to know Drew's family more. Just ONE SPAG...I happen(ed) to be working that day.

Awe, Barbara, this is just so sweet, and now Susan and Michael are taking things into their own hands. About time that somebody tries to make Shana see sense. Great chapter.
As Anderson opened the door, he paused. "Dad, how you on ammunition?" ...."Dad, how are you on ammunition?"
All the best. Ulla:)))

Thank you for the catch. I will add that word.

Interesting story. Just noticed a couple things. The first sentence is in present tense and the rest are in past tense. Am I reading it right, that Grandma and Grandpa are using grenade launchers? I like the playful banter in the last part and "English please" bits. I look forward to reading more of your writing.

I like the way you have the conversation between Drew and Shana and Michael and Sarah running in parallel here. There was one point though ("Son, speak English." ) where I didn't at first realise the speakers had changed. Perhaps a dialogue tag would help here.
Just one typo to fix:
No, you're not interesting in Drew's money.
This is a strong, action packed chapter in which you make some interesting inter-generational comments.

Well done Shana, it's obvious this episode is heading in two directions, one , that Shana is quite definitely in love with Drew, the other Drew's parents sharing th fact that their background was similar class wise but not religion wise. Will Drew and his protective strategies work. This is a great write Barbara, excellently scribed, well done, blessings, Roy
