Thank you very much

The poet nailed the parameters of the contest: Anxious Minutes, 20-word, 5-lines, expressing anxious minutes. In hospitals and long-term care, this is a very real happening for many patients/clients. The poet expressed well the anxious wait for the answer. Good job.

What a difficult situation to go through--and an anxious one. I am assuming Alzheimer's or dementia is what your well-written and heart-provoking poem is about. From your very first line, you hook the reader. :) A wonderful contest entry. I hope you do.

Everyone with elderly loved ones wonders if the memory will hold up...every affirmation is a victory and a joy. This is just wonderful, with artwork that touches the heart.

Hello Anon
A lovely piece this. You coudl have presented it without a picture, as the words work very hard to direct the reader's thoughts.
In passing, I am not sure if the comma on line three (after 'waiting') is required - and perhaps that line should end with a semi-colon i.e. "these words;" These are just small point- and I may be wrong.
This is very strong writing in a very limited format - well done.
I wish you well with this
cheers

A very well-written five-line poem/ twenty syllable poem. When our parents grow older we always hope that they will not lose their mind and still remember who we are.

Ouch! If this is a true story, I'm so sorry. I've been (and am going) through a similar situation with so many people, and feel your frustration and pain. You've packed an honest, emotional, powerful punch in your 20 words. Good luck in the contest.

A very difficult subject and one that we wait anxiously every day to see if it changes. Very well written and using so few words, you expressed the thought very well
