wow, it would seem really lucky that you were unable to get the spot in the campgrounds on the first try. i hope all those puppies and whatnot found their owners again, or their owners found them

You were saved when the first place didn't have space for you. I call that a God shot.
When I had my foot op last year, I found a way to take a shower with my foot and leg in a cast by wrapping a garbage bag around it and using a bath chair. Worked out great. You and Jim found a similar solution for his wrist.
