I am not quite sure how you packed so much feeling into a short poem, but this is great! Its heartwarming...I can just imagine Great Grandpa telling a grandchild about glowing polar bears. Vivid imaginings would be the title of a category for this, one of my favorite poems so far. I'm a newbie and am learning so much from poets like you, that use a few words to conjure up a whole story!

This poem could very well become prophetic in just a few years. With the way the Polar Ice Cap is melting, snow and Polar Bears might very well become things of the past, alive only in memory. I am afraid that Polar Bears might become the new Dinosaurs. (Fossils that are dug up and reconstructed for museums.)

I like the layout of this poem, and the rhyming. Good picture, too. This tells about how the ice is shrinking and the poor polar bears soon will have to ice. Grandpa saw one twice. Was it the same one both times? lol
