Yes!
Exactly - both the sentiment and teh word count.
This is a cracker: so much social commentary packed into one line - teh reader is set up and dropped. Very clever.
I am off to vote for you right this very moment Anon.
This is a very strong entry.
cheers

this is fantastic writing, California and Governor Moonbeam are so ridiculous, it makes it almost impossible to be a cynic these days..

A fun write that points out the differences in the two worlds in which we grew up - great use of the two different fonts. ;) ;)

Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest!

I had never heard of Milquetoast and had to look it up to understand your satirical words here, but I still don't understand how 1963 comes into it? Perhaps you could explain? Love Dolly x

This is an excellent flash story for the contest.
One has to have lived in 1963 to understand
though some probably still do the same today.
Great name and excellent picture to match
Well done
Good luck in the contest

Very funny, full of wit. I was a child growing up in the fifties, returning home after spending an evening with a friend, playing family games, (no TV) my mother didn't turn a hair, I wonder why? Heh, heh. an excellent entry in this 50 word contest blessings, Roy
