When she pulled this stunt, as far as I was concerned she should have just stayed with the VC she supported over her own country. Well crafted poem does make you wonder what Nancy Reagan would think?

Thanks, Bro, I appreciate your fine review. She did apologize for what she did, many years later, but oh well.

Excellent what wonderful artwork you have come upon for this piece, (long time no hear from you), and yes good actors don't automatically mean good leaders, very well written and best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Nancy was a beautiful person it is hard to understand why someone like Jane Honda would ever be selected to play the part of such beautiful character. Perhaps she hope it will solve something in the past. Thanks for sharing/

Because of her actions, Jane Fonda lost my respect. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

With my luck of late, I will probably take the wrong elevator. LOL

Bro if your heart is right, He will certainly sort it out. Reminds me of a joke I heard a long time ago, about a Lift (Elevator in USA)that won a Nobel Prize. It got to the 16th floor...and there was...No Bell, ha!

Hi Sankey, so they gave the role of playing Nancy Reagan to Jane Fonda? I didn't know that, and it does seem like an odd choice. But you never know what Hollywood is up to. Reagan was a B actor himself, so he would probably have understood. There you go. A very well written rhyming poem. I wish you good luck in the contest. All the best. Ulla:))

Thanks Ulla, interesting point about Reagan as a B actor I have him in an old B/w movie "Return to Santa Fe" I think it is with M. OHara and it includes the story of the Abolitionists and John Brown all part of American history. Some early acting from later famous actors.

I enjoyed reading your contest entry. HJ has no business playing Nancy Reagan. Mrs. Reagan was a classy lady and HJ is horrible. I guess it's typical for Hollywood. Good luck with the contest.

Thanks, Barbara, someone thought I chose a weird subject for a Rhyming Poem contest but this had been on my mind for a while.

I wasn't much of a fan of Regan but have to agree Jane Fonda made some foolish and cruel comments during the Viet Nam War. She apologized years later but the news wasn't interested in publishing it at the time. You did a great job with this poem.

An ironic decision, but after all they are just actors playing a part! This is what they do and they have no regard for the morality of it, best wishes, love Dolly x

A very well-written poem. We can only see someone else by their appearance from the outside, to see inside another's soul until you see how they react in times of difficulty.

Great job with your rhyme in this. I remember it well--all the fuss over Jane Fonda during the Vietnamese War. I hadn't heard about her playing Nancy Reagan. I can't imagine she'll give Nancy a fair shake in the film. Truth be told, Jane Fonda must be about 80, and she's probably so cosmetically enhanced all over that her face may split in the midst of the filming. Interesting topic to write about. I don't believe Jane Fonda has changed her tune one bit since her Hanoi Jane days. judi

Thanks, Judi I forgot how old she might be now hehe. Some have wondered at my choice for a Rhyming poem contest but oh well. I appreciate your lovely detailed review.

You're welcome. You just had a poem that made the winners' circle, so you're doing all right. Yeah, Jane Fonda must be 80. That somehow makes me glad. judi

Yeah getting in the winner's circle kinda stirs one for more of same hehe.
