Hi Michael,
The first is a nice spin. I think this may have been done in the comics. There is an imprint at DC entitled 'Elsewheres' which reimaginings the classic heroes in other settings. They did one with Superman as Colin Kent being brought up in England... lol They also at one point got Stan Lee to reimagine the DC characters - that was a hoot. lol
I really like the open-endedness of number one. It's directed but has a large scope.
As for number 2, I'm pretty sure we used to have a competition like this. It's one of the ones that bit the dust, sadly as it was more imaginative than most that were kept.
Number 3 - ever seen the movie entitled 'Clue', starred Tim Curry as the butler in a movie version of board game Cluedo. Also brings to mind the Pink Panther movies. Nice idea.
The poetry ones sound good to, but interest me less, but I know that's just me.

My favorite is the last one. That sounds fun! As far as the animal poetry goes, I'm not a history buff so would probably take a pass. Prose suggestions seem a little long on the word requirement unless there is a cash prize involved, but, really, what do I know about writing prose? Lol, not much! I do like prose prompt number 2, though, and I can think of a few authors on here that would be good at number 3. So, overall, I say you did a good job coming up with new, original ideas. Best of luck to you in the contest!

Then I thought this must be different stages and I wondered if there was still time for me to get into this competition. It sounds like fun. Then I got to the end and realized that was your submission. I wonder if the reader will get as excited as I about your prompts. They are very clever. Now we know what your second or third or fourth career can be. Very talented.

These are good prompts. Would make some wonderful stories and poems. You certainly came up with imaginative prompts. I'd like to see YOU write to some of them. Better you than me. My muse is on a loooong vacation. But you seem to have an endless stream of poems and maybe stories.
