In my opinion, a fun write, easy to read and understand - a tribute to a particular state of affairs, the need for human responsibility and effort - it is important to feel and be productive always, even into our "Golden" years, perhaps beyond...

Your poetry is super for humor and a good change for me as I needed a little light hearted reading today. You certainly
made my day. Thanks for sharing. I can't critique as I am not a poet but did enjoy reading your poetry.

I enjoyed this wonderfully crafted little husband and wife battle of wits. Great flow and down right believable lol. I will be looking forward to retirement some day.

LOL... I love the style that you created on this poem... Very fun read. The best part about it, it's so real in today's America, there's probably a lot of households who have this very conversation.

Your poem is funny and witty, a nice read for labor day. So true on the male behavior, if you feed him he would do most anything. What's going to happen when female behaviors catch up?

It's good as a humoristic write-up, but I find it hard to recognize this as a poem. Yes two people, both retired, can make one go back to work.=). Love the play on words -- tired and retired.

A very humorous poem indeed. I like the way it goes all the way from beginning to end. A real spoof on Labor Day. It flows very well in thought and rhythm. Enjoyed the read.

She is a clever woman and obviously a darn good cookš??? We men do love our food and we love it even more when some else is cooking it . Take or threaten to take that away and it can unsettle and spur one into action... Nice!

It serves the silly man well, to argue with a woman who has a much swifter mind the her poor, idle hubby, who sounds a little lethargic when it comes to working, an excellent poetic lesson in shared rhetoric, the hubby out of of his depth. Well done Rhonnie, great write, blessings, Roy
