You managed to build up suspense, and then there was nothing! Somehow, I think you should continue with this story and tell us what happened then. Good job!

So the fellow who disappears finds himself in a place which no longer exists. That must be a tad unnerving! I always wonder where those disappearing things resurface. Good little shortie. Good luck in the contest.

This is a good contest entry in the flash fiction, Craig. Your lines flow well & lead up to a bizarre ending. Going by the name, The Astonishing Alex, I would say this is a magic trick that has more sinister magic than expected. Perhaps it could be said that this was an event in a parallel universe--Who knows? Well, I guess the author & his lips are sealed. Good job & best wishes. Jan
