Good work again. Glad the FBI is now involved for whatever good they can do. Still enjoying the journey along this interesting trail. Can't see any errors and looking forward to where this is all going. Still very creative.

Barbara,
First of all, I really appreciated that you provided a similar painting to what you are referring in your piece. That helped a lot. Kudos. Is you painting real or just made up? It sure sounds real. *smile*
A note, if I may?
1.) Anderson held up a cot. "I'll sleep on this."
--> the smallest cot I know of is the standard army cot -- it is rather long and strange an object to be holding up -- do mean a folded cot or something like that?
Thanks!

Yes, the cot was folded up. I guess I need to say that. LOL Yes, it is a real painting. Thank you for the kind review.

Hmm... Maybe there is more gold on the painting than just a thin layer of gold leaf. I still can't figure out why they would want the painting enough to steal it and then kill to keep it.

I'm not sure they stole it. I think the Nazis stole it and then the Russians stole it. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens next with it. Thank you for the kind review.

Now we see the FBI becoming involved in the whole mess, with Kuznetsov's organisation being part of a Russian mafia set-up. Jeff has shored up the security surrounding the whole thing. An excellent episode again Barbara, well done, blessings, Roy

I know very little about paintings and you have piqued my interest with this chapter. My only suggestion is that you might consider explaining why the FBI cannot help her regain possession. Also, this is missing a word: not being in possession of painting...

Hi Barbara, maybe now there will be some answers as to why the painting is so important. I sure hope they will manage to progress and soon.
Anderson opened the it. = Anderson opened it
"Ms. Kohlberg, I understand you'd like try to convenience Kuznetsov yourself that you aren't interested in pursuing the painting. = ... try to convince Kuznetsov ...
"I'd like to know why after all those years of not being in possession of painting, you decided = ... of not being in the possession of the painting, ...
I'm looking forward to reading on. All the best. Ulla:)))

And now the FBI are on the prowl, more hoops to jump through but every hand helps, hopefully.
Few things I spotted this time around-
Anderson opened the it. "What's going on?" - opened the door or opened it here.
Drew had to take care of somethings - some things.
I understand you'd like try to convenience Kuznetsov - this reads a little oddly, I think. Maybe something simpler like try to convey to Kuznetsov.
years of not being in possession of painting- of the painting?
one of two organizations the Odessa Mafia or the Brothers' Circle - I think yu may need some form of punctuation after organizations, perhaps a dash.
Ryan checked his note pad - notepad could be a single word here.
we don't have the man power - manpower could be a single word here.
All the best

That sounds interesting, Barbara, I wonder what the two dimensional aspect has to do with it. I can;t wait to find out. And it wasn't too long, Barbara, it never is I'm on holiday in Austria at the moment but wanted to find out what was happening, I'll be home for the next part. Superb as always! :) Sandra xxx
