Peace at last! Maybe it is black humor, I found it funny. Creative work; the last stanza, with an unexpected change in mood, gives a happy ending... with a twist.
A couple of errors: 5-th line:" he always goes the wrong..." instead of he's always.."; 2-nd stanza: " he doesn't listen to..." unless "don't listen..." is intentional.

Thank you Donka, I've corrected the first of those errors. Had to keep 'don't listen' to maintain the seven syllable a line pattern throughout the poem. Thank you for reading. Glad you found it humourous.

oooh...splendid entry for the contest. If there were a way to get the rider to simply ride. hah. I guess there is a way, follow in the footsteps of the protagonist's jailed father. ;0 Well done.
