Drew uses any excuse to be with Shana. LOL!
Shana jumped onto a chair and continued screaming. <-- This is cliche, and it also makes her look weak. Is she? I guess so, if she needs Drew to protect her. And without his help, she'd be dead by now, so I guess she has no choice.

I just tried to figure out what she would do. I will try to figure out something else. She would never have seen a gecko in that area and here in Texas there are billions of them. They live in my walls and sometimes come out to visit. Thank you for the kind review.

I love the way you broke this up with the little lizard. Yes, I know about horn toads. I was born in Texas and my father's people are there. I can see her now in that chair. LOL. Well done as usual.

Thank you for the kind chair. We have geckos living in our walls. Once in a while they come to visit.

The South West has all types of critters; some harmless and some very deadly. I saw my sister in law go from a sitting position to standing on the chair without touching the floor when a scorpion entered the room. Your story is very well written.

This was a fun chapter and made me laugh. We have geckos here too and I think they are cute... the horned toads really are ugly, but harmless. Poor Shana, I am sure she feels silly for getting so scared. Very nice work with this chapter, I enjoyed it very much.

We have some ugly looking lizards here too, all quite harmless. Heard about the Horny toads quite a lot. This was another great read. I am glad they are all being protective. Spag free again.

Even though Shana and Anderson's halted love connection is obeyed, he safeguards her by sleeping on the bedroom floor of her room and refusing to amuse himself, like the others, with a fog as a pass time.

The gecko is a scene-stealer. Another way in which Shana shows that she's under stress. Her reaction will give Zachery to tease her about. Little things like that add to a story by lightening the mood. Shana requires a lot of tending. Too bad the threats have made her dependent on someone for protection. Great work, and certainly worth six stars. I always look forward to reading another chapter. judi
