Hello Bill, you write the funniest poems and this one is no exception. I also learned a new word, so thanks for that. I did get laugh too, which is always wonderful.
he met with gerbicidal rage,
my wife, whose estimation gage
saw him as just a monster mouse. hahaahaha
I noticed no errors, and this poem should have wide appeal, and thank you for sharing it, Ana.

Excellent submission for the contest. Not only does it fit the confines of the story, it scans nicely leaving the reader with a pleasant experience. The photo compliments the piece perfectly. Well done.

Cute way to tell this little story! Poor little guy, he was probably scared, too! :) The story flowed well and you've made good rhyming choices. Well done! Thanks for making me laugh, I needed that! Good luck in the contest!

Oh dear! I think with such a reaction, the couple should get a non-rodent pet! Fun storytelling in poem form. It takes quite an exaggeration to see a "boar" in a little gerbil!

My wife and mice are fire and ice.

When my daughter was small, her mother bought her a gerbil. Oh, happy day. The varmint got loose and hid in every crevasse. Then it started chewing everything it could find. It took a couple of weeks, but finally, I caught it. I released it in the field beside the house. It only took my daughter a couple of hours to catch it, bring it back into the house and release it.

If only kids could find things you want them to as easily.
