I love Churchill, and love to read anything and everything about him. He had his time during the war. I love the politicians known for their stirring speeches. Churchill, Kennedy, and Martin Luther King are right up there in my books. I watched the series about Queen Elizabeth when John Lithgo played Churchill. Fascinating to watch. I enjoyed your poem and word of the day.

Thanks very much, Joy. Churchill is certainly a very much admired, even revered figure. I think a few tactical decisions he made cost some of my countrymen very dearly; but this poem isn't really about that. I just threw in his name as an example of the device the poem was talking about. As someone else pointed out, MLK would have been another fine example.
Most appreciated, Joy.

Hi Craig
I believe anaphora can be quite tiring to read.
and to write.
I believe this here A.I. dictionary has a blind eye on anaphora.
You have squeezed this little anaphora so tears are coming out of its I's.
Good job in annointing your believes with anaphora.
:-))Z.

Craig,
You did a great job with a new form for me. Your words flow well & sound like a speech. The line with the wagging tongue is my favorite. It is so true & is evident in today's society. Good job with your poem. I always learn something for m your work & the author notes. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank, Jan, for a lovely review. I'm learning a lot from the exercise, although how much I can retain is another matter :) Cheers, Craig

Another word from "The Cabinet Of Linguistic Curiosities" and once again you've written a skilful and creative poem to showcase the word and it's meaning. It is a delight to read your poems based around these unusual and interesting words.

Thank you for the lovely words, Kerry. It's a very useful book, and if only a few of the words stick in my brain, the exercise will have been worthwhile, I think. Most appreciated - Craig

Very clever but perhaps a bit obscure for most of us. Thanks for explaining it really helped. I was fascinated with your thoughts and look forward to hearing what you come up with next.
