I was engaged with the characters. I can see now why you are at the rank your with FanStory. I can also see why you are an accomplished novelist. This is very well written and I can't see anything wrong, but I am just a novice at writing. I just love reading your stuff, and I am learning so much from you with writing.

Good morning, Barbara
Another excellent continuation. Liked, how despite the ever present danger, your characters continue on with life's daily chores in order to maintain some semblance of normalcy. I didn't expect Shana to give in to Kuznetsov about the painting. Looking forward to see how this develops.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

It is difficult when you try to communicate across cultures. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is good imagery.

Hi, Barbara;
This isn't a totally surprising turn of events, but I am surprised Drew would even allow Shana to think about such a thing. If this gentleman, and I use the word loosely, is part of the Russian mafia, he could kill her simply because she knows who he is.
Good set-up for the next part.

Anderson's men were able to stop an attack on Hannah and Mary but the thought of it is frightening. Shana has been getting along well with Anderson's mother, and the families seem to have much in common, except the Jewish part. Shana is brave if she wants to meet the Russian personally and tell him she's not interested in the painting, but it sounds risky. Anderson's men know what they're doing when it comes to security, so maybe she'll stay safe. Anyhow, Anderson is on board with the idea. If they can get a resolution, maybe there will be no more threats. Excellent chapter. judi

Hi Barbara, as you do know, I like this story. So Shana is still thinking of pulling out. Of course, she also wants to protect her family. Drew seems to make a little progress with Shana. At least I hope so. All the best. Ulla:)))

It's my guess that Anderson is just going to play along with whatever Shana says until he can figure out how to talk some sense into her. LOL! Maybe I could have said that in a nicer way. Great job. Thanks for sharing. :-)

That will be interesting, Barbara, if Shana does get to speak to this Russian man, it might work in her favour, or, it might cause further ructions. Whatever happens, I think Shana will be well protected. It is true, what Susan said, that both their families are alike. We all are in a way, we just have different beliefs, although they are almost the same as well. Excellent part, my friend. Sandra xxx

Kusnetsov is going to extraordinary measures to attack anyone he sees fit, to shake Shana off flaming the family painting, it must be worth a veritable fortune, at least in theory Barbara, so she suggests to go and see Kusetsov to revoke her right to it. Wouldn't that still put her at risk? Well done Barbara, blessings, Roy

Sounds like a tight nit family on both sides. I think I like the idea about not giving up the keeping the painting. You have made this story into something really interesting. Well done Barb.
