A very interesting story/poem. I guess there are certain things that can show the dog getting the blues. I have seen my dog look sad before. I really did like this and it flowed very well. I can see why you are a top ranked author.

I don't know about the agility part in a heat wave. You are in Holland?
I am in Texas and we are due for temps in the hundreds next week -
not looking forward to that!
But good luck with your dog. Maybe the new treats will work.
or if nights cool off - agility?

This is an interesting and fun work. I enjoyed reading it. I'm not sure how well such a free form works for light verse, and am thinking some rhyme or clearer rhythmic structure might give it more effect.
