Excellent write on using marijuana for medical purposes I am long time user or smoker I should say it has always help my mental state depression, anxiety bi polar and PTSD. better than several pills I Dr.s wanted me to take daily Good luck and have a great day.

I wish this prompt came a few months from now, AFTER you have tried your home-grown pot and we would learn the results. Your backstory was the most interesting part of your essay to me as you explain CLEARLY why you avoided pot all these years and why you are going to use it now. But if medicinal pot is legal now in Oregon, did your doctor not first give you a prescription to see if it indeed works? I am confused as to why you would start growing it without experimenting first.

Thank you. I had a prescription for medical marijuana, but hesitated to use it. The clinics were weird.

I was told to get a new hobby, so I picked gardening to kill two birds with one stone...or stoned.

I absolutely loved this....especially the ending. Ha ha. I live in Tennessee, where marijuana use is nowhere even close to being legalized in any sense. I have several friends in other states that have been treated with medicinal marijuana and they have made great strides in the treatment of their conditions. I wish you the best of luck....don't let the naysayers get you down!!!
