Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

The best of writing about a sensitive subject. The stages of detachment, which are varied to each individual, are clearly detailed. Good luck in the contest!

Thank you for getting to this...it is on a very short leash for some reason. About 7 entries. This is the stuff that helps me write. And thank you for the 6 stars...wow ...I so appreciate that.

This is sad, but as you write, all to true for many. You lines flow well with a great message. It takes one who is strong to overcome those early ways ingrained in them. I hope this isn't biographical. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes, Jan

Thank you for your kind review. I am a very strong confident happy woman after all this. It has inspired me to write & publish a series, Be Wee With Bea, a Winnie the Pooh genre, dealing with a lot of these issues.

This poem reached right through my chest and grabbed my heart. It's so sad. I don't know if the ending was strength, anger, or both. Thank you for writing what felt like a very honest poem.
Great job! Best of luck in the contest.

i have seen folks do this and then act stupid later in life asking how this happen and try to make the child act like the wrong one..really? i think to myself..they must not have a memory. what is even sadder that it takes the child to make the 1st move. sad huh?. i do thank you for selecting my work to be included with yours. really this is my grandfather and grandmother right before they married about 100 years ago. he was 17 and she was 14. they were married for 75 years. i make available over 1000 drawings of a wide range of topics to you writers here on Fanstory. i do have one drawing that might go with this story titled "cold" if you wanna check one out. if you get the chance stop by either Fanmusic.com or YouTube.com and search my name "mkflood" and check out any my numerous illustrated music videos. great job on the story and thanks again...mkflood

Thank you for your kind review. I am a very strong confident happy woman after all this. It has inspired me to write & publish a series, Be Wee With Bea, a Winnie the Pooh genre, dealing with a lot of these issues. I will definitely check those out. He was a lawyer, so the suit, tie & hat in that sketch was perfect for me thank you. I copy & pasted this so I will have it to look up. Thank you again.

Parents sometimes get their priorities severely mixed up. How sad for both that these precious times slipped by unrecognised by the father. Good, however, that the transition to emotional independence was achieved.

Hello, this is so sad but well written and poetic. I hope it isn't biographical, but if it is, you must have had a pretty rough childhood. If not, you certainly meet the criteria for the contest and best of luck with the entry.

I have no suggestions for improvement and thanks for sharing your writing, Ana.

Thank you for your caring review. I am a very strong, confident, happy woman today after all that. It has inspired me to write a book of the Winnie the Pooh genre. I am Bea the wee bear in my published book Be Wee With Bea.
