I was born in 1947. My father died when I was just fifteen. My mother was a nurse with two jobs at different hospitals. She had her kids, her work and her drinking. She made sure we had everything we needed. She died at the age of 61, a year before she was going to retire. Growing up, I was very angry about her drinking. As the years passed after her death and especially now; if I ever get a chance to see her in the afterlife, I would tell her how sorry I am. The only thing she did, was sometimes made me feel embarrassed when she drank. She did so much more for us kids than that. Thank you for the "therapy poem".

Victor, as kids we don't see them as they are and sometimes as adults as well. When we reflect back is when the true beauty of it all comes into play.
Thank you for the awesome review my friend.
God bless

HELLO NEONEWMAN: I like your attitude about your mother. Concerning, Mom we have similar feelings. "I love you, Mom. You are like my life. I'll only get one. And I thank our Lord, Jesus, that I got both from Him, through you, Mom. Thank you. And thank you for sharing, Neonewman. rhonnie69.

That is such a wonderful poem of your love for your dear mother. It's a perfect gift to give her for Mother's Day, I know I would be delighted to receive it. Good luck in the contest, it's perfect! :) Sandra xxx

A very , very, fine tribute to your mother. That is correct, as your wonderful poem states, there is no other place any person would rather be than in the saving grace of the precious mother. Thanks for sharing.

Good tribute to your mother . I think it is after they depart from the earth then we begin to realize how precious the moments of the days. Best to you.

Now this poem is a downright beautiful tribute to your mother! I love the thought of the scared newborn recognizing the voice that sang to them before they were born.
