Ah, if only it were true that kids totally understood what their Moms go through to bring them INTO this world, and then the job of bringing them up.
None of it is a small task. Thank you for sharing this Mother's Day poem. I hope your Mother enjoys it,

Nice loving conversation between mother and son. This shows the hard work and pain of childbirth but also the joys too. I don't think a son would be so willing to do so many shores in one day. But he is fulfilling the promise in his long stanza.

The ideal family relationship or is it? Much of life is dealing with conflict. You intertwine labor with creating your image - perfection interspersed with maximum pain seems quite effective.

I think this is a good entry for the Mother's Day Poetry writing prompt.
Your cute verse tells a clear story of mother and son.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.

Wow, what a really fun read! And I love the title, I don't know how you could have chosen better. Your words flow well and the rhyme you use makes your poem move evenly. This a very nice poem. Best wishes.

This contest entry is both touching and funny..a great combination! Yes we women go through pain..but it's all worth it in the end when we see this precious gift from God. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

This is a most creative Mother's Day entry poem, rhonnie. Starting with the actual genuine labour and hopes for the child, right up to the child's keeping of a promise.
Very nicely done and I wish you all the best in the contest.

A creative and unique poem.. I loved the dialogue that was going on between the Mom and the child.... and in so doing, these conversations end up as a tribute to the mom, for all that she does, all that she puts up with, all that she gives up to take care of the kids, and all that she is.. and because how God made moms! Good read and makes me realize all that I have to be thankful for sending me my mom! :)

In my opinion, a clever twist upon a Mothers' Day entry - written in a childlike style and engaging in its delivery and simple image of mother and child - warm and clearly expressive...

A few punctuation slips here or there, so you could take a look through. There are a few, but I do not want to dissect this workas I enjoyed it that much...better to bring it to your attention....mostly commas in the wrong places.
A great write for Mother's Day. Good humor. I wish you luck with it.
Have a great day.
