There is definitely some imagery in here. I think you try too hard on metaphors for it to flow smoothly. Three crossed hell on earth for Elysian fields (heaven), but which three are they and where do they come from and why. A mythical tribal chief of the Spanish is actually the God of Israel, according the imagery you write, but it is imagery without purpose or definition to the mind.

Hello...-smile-
the three are created, Forever..as in God..and trust impenetrable
El Dorado's meaning has changed over the years in to a city of gold
it signifies a life's search to reason what is worth. Solomon said the same basically only with much more eloquence.
I'm only michael.

It is true... there is no greater love than this, and those who come in humility and sorrow to the cross on the hill, do find happiness, because no matter what pain life may deal, the soul can still know the peace that passes understanding, and be satisfied. This poem is deeply spiritual and says so much so beautifully. I am deeply moved. Thank you for sharing this.

I believe His Word...and what I read is not a happy go lucky message.
but a journey of hills and valleys , of triumph and consequence , both woeful and joyful.
of warning and example, even evidenced. from kings to laymen, every Judas realizing the worth of mere silver compared to the God he already has. yes...the peace comes from knowing He is with us and has been through the whole process...if the heart is honest it has confidence, no matter its outerwear. love you Michael

Michael, I see in you a loving heart, wise in ways that astonish me sometimes. I know you know the Master, and I'm equally sure He will guide your steps.

Hello, a Metallica fan. Nice!! I think this is a well written and thought provoking poem. I am not sure what it is about but you have some lovely poetic moments with alliteration and I appreciated that. I wondered whether it was about life after death because of your reference to Elysian fields.
I noticed no errors and thanks for sharing your story, Ana.

Love the visual and the song is one of my favorites. Very compelling and intriguing. The words present a picture that is serene, clam and divine. One that is ever lasting providing you are worthy of. I hope I interpreted this, to be what you meant. Sherman541

I did like it and you must use an old picture of you, as you do not look very old to me. I however, am getting there much faster than I would like. :) I understand about the place we would hope to be. smiling and waving back :) Michael

See then you are not so old as you think. I look in the mirror that has been taken over by an old lady she will not allow me to look at myself, I only see her :) lol
