Hi Bill, the picture made me laugh, so incongruous, and the poem matched it perfectly, I'm totally confused now, the only sane one was the parakeet, the other two fish were as crazy as a pirate's parrot. LOL I liked this one a lot, Ana.

Well Bill I will say this, you do have a vivid imagination and that's good you did meet the requirements for the 5-7-5

like your alliteration. There's a sense of Dr. Seuss in this poem. I prefer to read poetry aloud, it is the only way to read it. I enjoyed yours. It could be a child's little song. I like the cadence of this. At first it doesn't seem to make sense, but when the reader is taken in with the little song, they will become a believer. the only place for the fish would be in a birdcage. Well written.
