This was a good one with much said about our world as well as a picture that was either one that would warm the heart or disgust-I can't decide-haha. As always, an original and thoughtful series here.

Let them live? Not on your Nellie, there is no antiseptic on my boot, and I killed one this morning because it couldn't get up off it's back! It was heading for my front door if you please? That is a huge cockroach in the picture, it looks more like a beetle. I liked your write because you have mentioned how long they have lived on earth which is significant, and how strong they are, not many household products will kill it and then insecticide kills the plants and yourself! A great number two cockroach write Bill, creepy, but good, love Dolly x

I don't think he has anything to worry about. Cockroaches will be here long after we're all gone.
For every one that's killed a million and half wait in the wings.
Roaches on the run. Funny.

My mother-in-law visited our home in North Carolina years back, just after we had the house sprayed for roaches. That evening, getting up at one in the morning, she was shocked to see a hundred, various-sized bugs lying on the floor, tables, and falling off the ceiling.

It brought them all out before dying. I bet she was horrified!

They say that in 10,000 years the only life on the planet will be cockroaches and Cher. SHe'll still be performing in Las Vegas to a sold-out crowd of roaches.

This us very funny! Who would have thought that roaches worry about surviving! Surely they will be here long after we are gone. I know roaches well...we shared many a tenement apartment with them in chicago. Thanks for sharing your humor with us.

Well written and well told.
Unfortunately this speaks the truth. We seem to be heading towards a toxic environment.
Will we survive? Probably not. The cock roach? Maybe.

we can't [undue] the damage <-- undo
Good one, but it's wishful thinking on your part. No amount of poison will kill off all roaches. They can live anywhere on just about anything. Humans won't make it, but roaches will. One day they'll take over. I can't wait to see a roach congress biting each other's heads off. :)

Once I'm gone the roaches can have it. I'm not at all sure how 'undue' got in there? Has anyone ever written that word? Well, I guess so.
-
Oh yeah, 'undue' criticism. It is a word. I hate using wrong words.
