I enjoyed your poem. Nice rhyme and rhythm throughout. A lovely metaphor for not wanting to be isolated from the rest of the world. I could feel the little leafs struggle. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Awe, Yvonne, this is just so wonderful. The imagery is just out of this world. I was there, experiencing it all. You wrote a beautiful rhyming poem for the contest. I think it will be a great contender. All the best. Ulla:)))

Hi Yvonne, You have written a wonderful poem for the contest. Your rhymes are all good and unforced and your meter is smooth. I like your use of internal rhyme and your abundant alliteration. Personification of the courageous little leaf is excellent! I enjoyed reading and reviewing your poem. Good luck in the contest!

Nice rhymed tale about nature and friendship. The leaves on the ground personify the encouragement of friends for one to complete his/her dream.
Good luck in the contest.

A "simple poem", Yvonne?
Yeah, simply wonderful!
Excellent rhyme, meter and a bouncy cadence in each of your five rhymed quatrains keeps this uplifting poetic story bounding right along.
Good Iambic Heptameter, featuring an aabb rhyme scheme.
This is a wonderfully well written poem that children and adults alike can enjoy.
