Good chapter. An eerie phone call and the uttering of his name. I didn't quite understand, it's early here, but did a voice say 'Sean' in the house or was that his ringer on his phone?
I found one typo:
The Detective (no capital on detective. It is not a proper noun) was not concerned about the negative misconceptions associated with the dreaded word.

"Detective" does read, and look, better as "detective".
Glad you enjoyed this portion of chapter six.
