Hi Sankey, I'm so glad you're getting some sort of transport sorted out. You now got Brad and his friends. I hope it will work out for you and your wife. It can't be easy. All the best. Ulla:))

The constant battle with the bureaucracy must drive you crazy. I know it would drive me crazy. I will definitely keep you in my prayers and that you will get the government approval you need.

It is wonderful to read about how you are accompanying your wife most places and how you are making use of the newly immigrated for services. True there are some undesirables but we have to give them a chance and the ones who are willing to adapt are real gems like the transport you have found. God bless.

Thanks Sis. Brad (not real name) is a blessing. Pray for him he is Muslim but a kind man. His off-siders are still ripping us off a bit but it is not costing us but Government. If they don't wake up Government will come down on them I believe.

A very well-written story. When we are depending on others to transport us from A To B. We just have to take it as it comes to us. We don't have any services of that kind in South Africa. My daughter is my taxi driver or the one who gets me to my car when I feel like driving myself.

I am pleased to learn that a schedule of your favorite carers is in place. I was surprised to realize that Louise had been hospitalized for nearly three months. Thank you for the picture of the modern and secure-looking Wheelchair Taxi. I hope Louise's right side continues to improve and you take good care of yourself as well. Warm regards- Joan

Thanks Joan, I know you and some others were keen for more on this recent adventure. Found today the picture is of the taxi we are using that takes 11 passengers without a wheelchair. I do plan on one more full review of my life story as this completes it except for a small bit of recent news to add in one of the later chapters from recent additional info.

No worries Barb, we rode in the taxi again and it is the same as the picture, I have to correct the description later. Appreciate your support.

It's great to know she is back home again with you. Great for both of you.
Such a pity about the regulations the government has put on making the cat "user-friendly" for your wife, especially when no taxpayers' money is involved.
You can be sure I'll be praying that the bureaucracy finally grants permission for the van to be fixed.

Thanks mate, sorry Taxpayers money IS involved for the conversion and it is a large amount for sure. But it all goes with the promise of Normality of living for disabled and the fact that no matter how much Governments spend to help, it is still cheaper on the taxpayer for us to live at home. Appreciate your great review.

Glad to hear that the two of you are doing better, and found some help you can trust. It's important to have good help. You're right a lot of people will rip you off.

Hi, Sankey!
It sounds like you and Louise struggled to get around until you found your present taxi driver. He was wise to build up a relationship with you because now he has a fairly regular customer.
I hope and pray that your refitted car gets approved soon.

Thanks, Nicole. I had planned on getting photos of our driver and us with his taxi but I decided to steal a photo from the Silver Top Web site instead. Appreciate your lovely review. (First cab off the rank, actually)This is the end of my book now. Just a final clean up then trying to self-publish.
